Be it Search engine optimization or keyword research, Oz has a way of making you see the light of day, the fog clears and all of the sudden everything is as clear as glass. As far as I am concerned Oz is SEO's version of the drug Claratin

Not only does he make thing easy to understand but he has a wonderful writing style, his lightly humorous and conversational writings make everything easy to read.

This time it is backlinking, and as always Oz explodes the myths. As stated above this one is not a how to guide, it is however an absolute invaluable report. He provides thoughtful and intelligent answers to the 14 most commonly asked questions about linkbuilding, backlinking, linkwheels and the ever popular sandtrap... er sandbox.

If you use any of the backlinking packages or services on the forum you need to read this report, if you are using linkwheels you REALLY need to read this.

Hey,

I've finally managed to achieve a life long ambition, I've written a report that is less than ten pages long. Yipee !!

I have been requested by many of the people that read SEOn Trial to write a report on Backlinks. I have dithered for a number of reasons... but finally I am happy to present...

Backlinking FAQts

We all appreciate how important backlinks are to a successful SEO campaign, so I won't waste much time preaching to the choir.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about basic backlinking issues. I will address these in the report. If you have ever asked questions about backlinking and not got any satisfactory answers then you definitely need to read this.

I promised (in SEOn Trial) that I will price this lower than $10. I am keeping to my promise, but don't dither (like I did) because I reserve the right to increase the price at any time and without warning.

Inside...
  • Why did a reader tell me it's like sending Google an email saying, "Please come and watch me spam my way to the top of your Search Engine!"?
  • Find out why avoiding Google penalties is a piece of cake
  • Discover what exactly goes on in the Google sandbox
  • How to avoid getting penalized even if you create 2,000 links a day
  • Discover how you can build only 20 links a day and still raise the red flag
  • Sitewide links - good, bad or evil?
  • Relevant domains - What's that?
  • How to beat the sandbox with your eyes shut
  • Learn how to keep the competition at bay
  • Link spamming - yeah right!
  • The Link Wheel - all sizzle and no steak?
  • Is there anything more powerful than the Link Wheel... 100 times more powerful?

(That's something I recommend anyone building backlinks read. It's a clear explanation that you get to understand from Google's perspective, so you can avoid having your site fall, by being perhaps careless as I may have been.)

Page 5 is something I think everyone should understand before they hire any backlinking service, to make sure the service provider will make the extra effort to make your backlinks natural (because otherwise they will likely be discounted and you will have wasted your money!)

The checklist you give is very helpful.

I like your explanation on page 6 that answered my question about whether backlinks to my money site from multiple domains - all on the same other server I have - would benefit the money site's page ranking.

One point of information. The second paragraph before the end of the Question 6 answer, I think the second use of "source" page you actually mean the page getting the backlink. It's clear what you mean in the summary paragraph that wraps up the answer to that question.

I also like your answer on page 10 to the question about the value of reciprocal linking.

In general, I like your writing style and the information in your report is quite helpful. I just have to learn what "sommink" is

About 10 years ago in the U.S., at least, there was a minor trend where the born-again Christians wore "WWJD" bracelets to get people to ask them what it means and provide an opportunity to witness to them (What Would Jesus Do).

I might modify that as a result of your report and wear WWGD - to remind me what Google would do, to keep its interests in mind as I'm building my site's popularity.

Thanks for the helpful and interesting read.

Warmly,

Dan

Anyone who markets or owns a site needs to get this report right now. If I had this information when I started out I would be a lot more advanced than I am now with my marketing efforts. Thanks Oz this is the one the very best reports put out this year and I do not say that lightly.
